Episode 202: On Being A Reflector & Following A Lunar Authority with Tanya Reyes
In Human Design, Reflectors are a rarity. In fact, its believed that Reflectors make up only one percent of the population. Besides their rarity, what makes them so special is the openness of their Human Design, having no defined centers in their charts. This makes Reflectors incredibly vulnerable, flexible, and a mirror of who and what surrounds them.
We’re continuing our series of exploring each authority by hearing from individuals who each represent one of the seven different authorities.
In this episode, I’m joined by Tanya Reyes. Tanya is a fellow Human Design Coach - and a Reflector!
You’ll hear Tanya share:
What it was like learning that she’s a Reflector
How she’s learned to lean into her Type and Strategy
Practical ways she follows her Lunar Authority when making decisions
How her design is even more unique having a 5 / 2 profile line
If you’re a Reflector or have one in your life, you don’t want to miss this episode!
Episode 200: My Human Design Determination & Cognition
As introduced in the last two episodes, 198 and 199, in Human Design, your Determination and Cognition are how you nourish your brain and “digest” information.
In this episode, I share with you what my Determination and Cognition are from my own Human Design, how they resonated with me, reflections on the role they played in my life prior to knowing about Human Design, and how I integrate them today.
Episode 199: Your Human Design Cognition
Do you have a trait or “sense” that you excel at? It’s a knack that you have that not very many others possess.
Continuing our exploration of the Human Design Variables, in this episode, we take a look at Cognition.
You’ll hear:
What is Cognition in Human Design
Where Cognition fits into the Human Design variables framework and how corresponds to the other Variables
The six kinds of Cognition and how they show up
Episode 198: Your Human Design Determination
In the last episode, Episode 197, I introduced the Human Design Variables. In this episode, the second installment in this mini-series we take a look at the variable of Determination.
You’ll hear:
What is Determination in Human Design
How it fits into the framework and corresponds to the other Variables
The six kinds of Determination and the tones for each one
Episode 197: The Human Design Variables
Did you know that there’s an element in Human Design connected to digestion?
As a Functional Nutrition Health Coach that specializes in digestive and gut health, when I heard this, I was so intrigued that I just had to learn more.
Just as Functional Nutrition recalibrated my thinking to going beyond the surface to look at what’s at the root of everything, I quickly realized that this is what Human Design has come to do for me as well. It’s a deeper way to look after my well-being beyond what’s just on my plate.
And the Human Design Variables is yet another layer of how Human Design sheds light on our health in literal and energetic ways.
In this episode, I provide an overview of what the Human Design Variables are, and it kicks off a mini-series where we’ll explore each variable and how they complement each other.
Episode 192: The Sacral Center and Shifting My Relationship with Food
As a health coach who has helped clients with energy management to reduce stress, fatigue, and burnout, the Sacral center is one aspect of Human Design that strongly resonates with me because those who defined Sacral centers know when “enough is enough.”
Continuing the conversation from Episode 191, in this episode, I reflect on how learning about my undefined Sacral center has further shifted my relationship with food, tracking, and the apps that I use to support this.
Episode 191: The Sacral Center and Shifting My Relationship with Exercise and Workouts
As a health coach who has helped clients with energy management to reduce stress, fatigue, and burnout, the Sacral center is one aspect of Human Design that strongly resonates with me because those who defined Sacral centers know when “enough is enough.”
As someone with an undefined Sacral center, I’ve spent *a lot* of time thinking about how this shows up for me, as someone who struggled with adrenal depletion and overtraining.
So, in this episode, I share my reflections on how this presented in the past in my relationship with exercise, and how it’s helped me shift my relationship to workouts.
Episode 180: Bioindividuality and Human Design
Human Design embraces your uniqueness, showing why general, blanket statement advice may not work for you. It's not that there’s anything wrong with you, rather, there’s a more effective way that comes more naturally to you, which begs the question, “How well do we know ourselves? What parts of us are inherent to us? What parts have we been conditioned to be?”
The onus is on each of us to observe, explore, and uncover the answers to those questions, and what emerges is a deep sense of self-awareness that develops into an intimate knowledge of who you really are, and what you need to thrive - not just what you might have been conditioned to believe.
In the solo episode, I explore the intersection between bio-individuality, the idea that no one diet works for everyone, and Human Design, a framework that sheds like on our subtle, innate gifts.
You’ll hear me share:
What is bio-individuality?
What is Human Design?
The intersection of where they meet
How, collaboratively, they can help us step into our highest potential
Episode 169: Using Human Design to Avoid Burnout
In a society where we're expected to push ourselves to work and accomplish much as quickly as possible, it’s no wonder that burnout has become the accepted norm.
In this last installment of my three-part series on burnout, we explore Human Design and why you might be more susceptible to burnout than others.
I share with you how I use my Human Design to reframe my thought patterns and daily habits to avoid burnout.
Episode Highlights:
A recap of Parts 1 and 2 in this series on burnout
What areas of your Human Design chart can shed insight into whether you might be prone to burnout
How you can use Human Design to your advantage to manage your energy and avoid burnout
