Episode 150: Reduce Your Toxic Load, Rethink Your Everyday Products
After I first started on my journey to better health, I hit a plateau when I felt I wasn’t progressing as timely as expected.
When I consulted my doctor about it, I learned that sometimes the devil is in the details-- and I might not have been making the best decisions in the products I was using daily.
My doctor asked me, “What about toxins in your home? What’s in your tap water? Your everyday things?” and that’s what got me on this journey to discover the better, safer alternatives to my everyday products.
From makeup and personal care products to the Teflon pans and cookware we use. Though we may not be exposed to large quantities at a time, using these things daily exposes us to harmful chemicals that add to our toxic load, so much so that we can eventually feel its effects on our health.
In this episode you’ll hear me discuss:
My journey and struggles to better health and how environmental toxins landed on my radar
Everyday products that you’re using that can affect your health
Reducing our toxic load
Shifting to clean beauty and the unexpected but welcomed improvements it had on my skin and my confidence
Episode 149: A Holistic Approach to Macros with Dr. Jacqueline Bouley Price
They say that the best coaches have coaches and today we’re joined by *my* coach, Dr. Jacqueline Bouley Price (@livewellwithjacqueline)! Dr. Jacqueline is a chiropractor & certified holistic health coach who helps her clients find more balance on and off their plates.
After years of struggling with food and weight loss, she finally learned how to fuel her body and manage her weight without feeling restricted. To date, she has coached hundreds of happy clients who were able to change their habits and find a better relationship with their food and their bodies.
In this episode you’ll hear us discuss:
Why Dr. Jacqueline went from chiropractor to health coach
How she and her clients (myself included) have managed through the COVID-19 pandemic #realtalk
Her unique approach to macros and her BEST tips (they truly are) for taking a holistic approach to macros
And so. much. more!
Seriously, we had so much fun chatting about all the things, we could’ve talked for hours (these are my most favorite kind of episodes to do!).
Episode 148: Adjusting Your Nutrition for Shifting Life Phases
As a health coach, I’ve had my fair share of challenges in my health.
Back in 2004, I first ventured into (what I perceived to be) healthy eating and was dogmatic in counting every calories that came my way. Years later I struggled with a variety of digestive conditions and poor gut health.
Along the way I’ve experimented with a variety of nutritional therapies and have come to learn that not all of them have the same effect, nor are they suited for the long-term, and, depending on one’s approach, can end up doing more harm than good.
In this episode, I share how I’ve adapted to the shifting nutritional needs that my body has required through different phases of my life.
You’ll hear me discuss:
My health journey from weight loss to fueling for endurance training to repairing my gut health
The aha moment when my weight plateaued
How I’ve come full circle with macros
Episode 147: Dealing with Stress Amidst the Pandemic
This pandemic has had me asking myself many times over, ”How can I look at this situation differently?” What is normal now is uncertainty. This is one of the big battles that we’re facing at this time. We’re uncertain of what will happen to our jobs, our businesses, our families, and basically our entire lives. And all this uncertainty is causing us stress.
But what if we "think differently?" What could happen if we let go of all the mental, emotional and physical burdens that stress brings? Easier said than done, I know, but how about, instead of accepting stress as a part of the new normal, let’s take a different approach and learn ways to reframe it in a positive way.
In this episode, I share my personal experiences with stress in the first few months of the quarantine and how I’ve dealt with it.
You’ll hear me discuss:
Work stress
Facing the possibility of being laid off
Dealing with uncertainties
My personal experiences in feeling unbalanced, out of control, and defeated
How I took a different approach
Episode 146: Restoring Your Health with the Right Supplementation
It’s easy to think that we’re pretty healthy when we take supplements. This is true to some extent, but taking supplements is only one part of living a healthy life, and at times, can be overprescribed.
In this episode, I highlight supplementation and share my journey of how I started taking them back in 2013 when I began my self-healing journey to improve my overall health. I share how supplements helped me achieve optimal health over the years together, along with eating a well-nourished diet, practicing healthy lifestyle habits, and taking an integrative approach with prescriptions from medical and wellness experts.
Episode 145: Shifting Your Mindset Through Self-Awareness
In this solo episode, I share how to get your internal self into a good place through self-awareness and mindset shifts. Oftentimes, we focus on different factors that hinder us from being successful in whatever it is we want to do when all along we’re standing in our own way.
There is no greater way of taking care of your health and your well-being than by shifting your mindset through self-awareness so you’re able to release the stress that’s been burdening you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This is what allows ourselves to truly feel and thrive as happy healthy people.
You’ll hear me discuss:
Steps I took that are essential in my self-healing journey but why I never felt fully healed
Tools that have helped me: Embodiment, Human Design, and Astrology
How these tools have helped me
Episode 144: Uncovering the Path towards Your Best Life through Astrology with Julien Elizabeth
If you’re someone like me who used to check the newspaper to read their daily horoscope readings, then you’re going to enjoy this episode!
Since learning about Human Design, I’ve been curious about the systems it’s based upon, astrology is one of them.
So a few months ago, I had a natal (birth) chart reading and it validated things that I innately knew about myself, that I had never shared with anyone else. And, it also enlightened me to see astrology in a new perspective.
Joining me in this episode is Julien Elizabeth (I had my natal chart reading with her). Julian is a teacher, astrologer, and writer, who’s inspired by the cycles of life, the natural world, the universe, and spirit.
As an astrologer, teacher, and yoga practitioner, her work focuses on strengthening our connection to the intuitive world. She’s motivated to create more pathways and tools for self-healing.
You’ll hear Julien and I discuss consciousness, how astrology can be used as a tool for health, and simple wisdom and aspirations to live an authentic life that reveres gratitude, compassion, and honesty!
Episode Highlights:
Astrology + Human Design
Astrology as a self-healing tool that can help us lean into our intuition, and develop self-awareness
How Julien got into astrology work
My birth chart reading experience with Julien & takeaways that I'm using as tools for health
The Fall Equinox and why it’s important

We often look for external resources to help us manage our health, mindset, stress, and really, discover “who are.” But much of what we are in search of is already innate within us, just waiting to be discovered. Human Design is a system that can help us uncover these gifts that we already possess.
In this week’s podcast episode, I’m joined by Leadership Coach and Human Design expert Erin Claire Jones for a conversation on how Human Design can be used as a tool in how we approach our work and health, and how we manage our productivity and mindset.
You’ll hear us discuss:
The depth and layers of Human Design
The impact Human Design can have on productivity, team building, communication, and success in the workplace

Episode 141: Releasing A Need To / Have To Mindset
Our mindsets can be a massive roadblock on our journey to achieving whatever it is we want to do in life. If we succumb to it, then we're more likely to become less healthy (physically and mentally), and less productive.
In this episode, I share with you some recent shifts that I’ve had related to my mindset, and how it impacted my productivity, stress, and combatting burnout.
If you’re someone who’s ambitious, driven, with so many things you want to do but you’re struggling with finding the time and energy to get it done, then this episode is for you!
Episode Highlights:
Burnout is more than just being tired
The different types of burnout
