It's Time to March Forth!

Like many, after watching the documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth” Gregg Renfrew, mother and businesswoman was compelled to do something - to take action.

After learning how the beauty and personal care industry is largely unregulated, and how many favorite brands knowingly use ingredients that are harmful to human safety, she decided to put her mad entrepreneurial skillz to work and start a company that countered these accepted practices in the beauty industry.

And she decided to bring her start-up to market with a forward-thinking go-to-market strategy by having a direct sales force because she believed that the compelling personal stories of safety and transparency are best told person-to-person.

This weekend, on March 4th, we celebrate the 5th anniversary of her vision: Beautycounter.

In just five short years (you guys, since 2013!) Beautycounter has:

As a woman and 20+ year veteran of the business world, I can tell you this is simply outstanding. It’s something to celebrate!

To commemorate this milestone:

We’re taking a delegation of consultants to Washington DC to continue pushing for safer laws. To see this in action, follow Lindsay Dahl, VP of Social and Environmental Responsibility at Beautycounter on Instagram! She takes us behind the scenes of all the work she’s doing to push the movement forward!

How you can show your support:

  • Text “BetterBeauty” to 52886 to ask Congress to act.

We introduced “Beautycounter Red" a bold new lipstick that embodies our mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. This vibrant red color is perfect for all skin tones, and the formula delivers a satin finish with a touch of fresh peppermint flavor.

How you can show your support:

  • Help spread the word of our movement by sharing Beautycounter Red with a friend. For a limited time, buy 2 and save $10.

  • Wear the lipstick and tag a photo on Instagram @beautycounter with #ThisTimeItsPersonal.

All this work is paying off because people are taking notice.

I joined Beautycounter two years ago in April 2016. I'm not a salesperson. I had never done anything like this before, and really, had no idea what I was doing (and to some degree still don’t), but I have not regretted doing this work for a second.

This movement is extremely personal to me because of my own health issues, and I know it is to you too. Transparency in everything is of the utmost importance to me, and this is what I love most about Beautycounter, and I’ll proudly continue to share its mission and values with anyone who’ll listen.

Thank you for supporting me, for supporting Beautycounter and the movement for better beauty!

Be FAB,

Naomi
